2024 National Science Week
|
Saturday 10 August 2:00-4:30pm
We had fun at our annual National Science Week activity on the theme of Reptile Encounters and Dino Digs! We enjoyed a fantastic live-animal presentation from Romy of Reptile Encounters. Lots of brave fellowship kids and several visitors handled a stick insect, a frog, a turtle, two lizards, two snakes, and a baby crocodile ! We learnt a lot about the wonderful features these creatures have that enable them to live in their habitats. We enjoyed some hands-on activities, creating and excavating fossils and hatching dino eggs and of course, eating afternoon tea. |
2024 Legolympics
|
Saturday 15 June 2:00-4:00pm
Young and old enjoyed our Legolympics team design challenge incorporating LEGO, the Bible and the Olympics. Partipicants spent time choosing their theme, scripture and silly designs and finding their blocks to construct their plan. The final creations included Noah's Ark - a cruise ship, an Olympic swimming pool, an opening ceremony and athletics stadium, a boxing ring and marathon representing a journey through life from Genesis to Revelation. |
2024 Barefoot Bowls
|
Saturday 14 April - 5:00-7:30pm
It was a spectacular autumn evening and a great time of fellowship with some gentle activity at the Brunswick Bowling Club. Lots of laughs erupted as we divided into small groups and launched into social barefoot lawn bowls on real grass. For some it was their first time and they surprised themselves, bowling very close to the elusive 'target' ball. Some good conversations were shared with our visitors and picnic dinners were enjoyed on the comfortable seating. |

Saturday 23 March 2024 - 2:00-4:30pm
Around 40 people met for a 4km ramble on a lovely sunny afternoon along the Yarra River from Stiggants Reserve to Warrandyte. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor verandah at the delightful Stonehouse Cafe for refreshments before returning to the start. |

2023 The Coronation of King Charles III
|
Date: 29 April 2023
A great night of fellowship to celebrate the upcoming coronation of King Charles III with a meal and a presentation which reminded us about the fulfilment of God's promise about an enduring throne. The God of the Bible set up an earthly throne over 3,000 years ago and promised to perpetuate that throne until Jesus Chris returns to take up His rightful position as Universal ruler. The Coronation of King Charles III is a reminder of God's promises and a challenge to all to be prepared for Christ' s soon return and enthronement .... |

2022 Cluedo Mystery Night
|
Date: 23 July 2022
So Whoduunit? That was the question which those who attended the MRF Cluedo Mystery night attempted to reveal. Set in the Wild West, dastardly deeds were afoot. Through guile and ingenuity, the participants were caught in a web of intrigue as they became involved in the mystery revealed. Many thanks to presenters, host/hostesses & all who joined in for a great night of fun and fellowship. |
2022 Bendigo Grand Hall Opening
|
Date: 28-29 May 2022
A number of saints from Melbourne thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of fellowship in Bendigo for the new hall opening. It was a full weekend of preaching the gospel and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters from around Victoria and Tasmania. The highlight was seeing one baptism and two filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues! Thank you to the Bendigo saints for their hospitality to those who travelled to support and celebrate with them. We look forward to seeing the Revival Fire continuing to burn brightly at their new hall in Forest Street! |

2022 Urban Adventure
|
Date: Saturday 26 February 2022
Over 70 saints formed thirteen teams of saints from near and far, from Warrnambool, Ballarat, Geelong and Melbourne, gathered on the banks of the Yarra River on a glorious summer afternoon. They headed off on an urban adventure through Melbourne's sporting precinct and city laneways. Young and old discovered previously hidden and not so hidden delights. They hunted for amazing facts, took team photos/videos and exercised their legs and found coffee and ice-cream. Congratulations to all for their enthusiastic participation. Everybody was a winner!
